JobScheduler comes with its own mail server which it can use to send notifying e-mails in the event of, for example, jobs ending in error.
Note that the JobScheduler implements a mail client to send notifications by e-mail. Alternatively JobScheduler can be integrated with a system monitor that would send notifications, for details see Feature - Monitoring.
