Both the JADE Client and BackgroundService can run on any operating system that can support a Java Virtual Machine. The JADE Client is written in Java and the BackgroundService is provided by one of our JITL jobs runing on a JobScheduler. The Client does not require any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems, which means that it can be run in conjunction with either 32 or 64-bit Java versions. The BackgroundService job also uses no Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems but as documented in the JobScheduler installation guide, the 64-bit JobScheduler version requires a 64-bit Java.

Versions of the JADE Client and BackgroundService for Windows and Unix systems can be downloaded directly from our web site. Versions for other operating systems are only available in conjunction with a commercial license.

Java 1.6 or newer is required for both the JADE Client and BackgroundService.
