- Both the YADE Client and the YADE Background Service can be executed on any operating system that supports a Java Virtual Machine.
- The YADE Client is written in Java and the YADE Background Service is provided by one of our YADE JITL Jobs runing on a JobScheduler. The Client does not require any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems, which means that it can be run with either 32-bit or 64-bit Java versions.
- The YADE Background Service job itself does not use any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems but as documented in the JobScheduler installation guide, the 64-bit JobScheduler version requires a 64-bit Java. For details see Which platforms is JobScheduler available for and what platform support is provided?
- Releases of the YADE Client and YADE Background Service for Windows and Linux systems can be downloaded directly from our web site.
