Feature additional information

Roles and permissions will be fixedly defined:

  • What cannot be changed:
    • The number and type of roles is fixed.
    • The number and type of permissions is fixed.
  • What can be changed:
    • The permission value yes/no can be changed for each permisison in each role.
    • A user can be assigned any number of the roles offered.
  • Role/permissions configuration file:
    • the configuration of the permissions for each role would be stored for instance in a .ini file and not in an e.g. AD configuration
    • the effort of a configuration on the AD side is tremendous compared to storing this information in a .ini file and then just mapping AD groups to the roles defined for JOC
    • Users would be added into groups in AD (which would have roles for JOC associated).
  • No labels
