Introduction

JobScheduler has a full JADE managed file transfer program "on board". This allows JobScheduler to be used to automate file transfer operations using the full features of JADE such as error detection, compliant logging and notifications.

...

The JADE JITL Job can also be configured to use one or more file transfer configurations specified in the form of a settings.ini file and profile(s) as used in JADE up to Release 1.10 of JADE and JobScheduler. (The change from settings.ini file and profiles to XML-based file transfer configuration that will be introduced with Release 1.11

This is described in the JADE User Manual - Using the JADE Client article.)

The use of a settings.ini file and profile based configuration has the advantage that it allows the configuration to be developed and tested using a JADE installation and then automatically run using the JobScheduler.
However it can also bring additional complications:

  • Where JobScheduler jobs are executed under a different user name to that used by a JADE installation.
    • C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\jade_demo\a
