Introduction

• Initial Operation is performed after installation of the JS7 Controller, Agents and the JOC Cockpit, as described in the  JS7 - Installation article.
• This includes registering a Controller and Agents:
  • Use of a Standalone Controller and JOC Cockpit is in scope of the Open Source License.
  • Use of a Controller Cluster and/or a JOC Cockpit Cluster requires a Commercial License.
• To give you an easy start, we suggest that you download some presets which you can import into the JOC Cockpit from the Configuration View:
  • Download: https://download.sos-berlin.com/JobScheduler.2.0/Defaults.zip
  • After import of the Defaults.zip archive, a folder with the same name will be available that includes JS7 - Job Resources, which can be used to publish global JS7 - Job Environment Variables to your shell jobs.
• Adjust global settings to your needs:
  • Settings for the JS7 - Daily Plan Service
  • Settings for the JS7 - Cleanup Service
• Apply a startup / shutdown configuration
  • JS7 - systemd Service Files for automated Startup / Shutdown with Unix Systems
