Introduction

The JS7 Controller and Agent offer JS7 - Metrics for ongoing monitoring.

Metrics can be integrated with Prometheus and can be visualized from Grafana Dashboards.

Grafana Dashboards with Releases 2.9

Dashboards can be used starting from Grafana 13.

Alternatively, the Grafana Dashboard is availablle for download from the Controller's /grafana/dashboard endpoint like this:

Configuration

The Grafana Dashboard provided offers the same panels for any Controller and Agent instances.

  • The dashboard requires a Prometheus data source being available.
  • Users are invited to create their own dashboards based on available metrics.

Example

  • The dashboards offers metrics for JOC Cockpit, Controller and Agents from a single JOC Cockpit endpoint.
  • The dashboard allows selecting the Group which is one of
    • Engine:<controller-id>
      • Metrics are offered for the Controller identified by its Controller ID,and related Standalone Agents / Subagents in an Agent Cluster.
    • Proxy:<account>
      • Metrics are offered for JOC Cockpit from its Proxy Service indicating the account used to connect to the Controller.

Configuration

The Grafana Dashboard provided offers the same panels for any Controller and Agent instances.

  • The dashboard
    • requires a Prometheus data source being available.
    • offers the host property from a select-box to choose the Controller/Agent that should be monitored. For details see JS7 - Metrics with Prometheus
  • Users are invited to create their own dashboards based on available metrics.
